CLEANING TIPS
It is extremely important to keep your jewellery clean. Over time, oils from our skin and particles in the atmosphere can collect on our jewellery and create a grinding compound which begins to cause wear on our jewellery. Not only can this residue build-up on your gold, but can also make your diamonds and gemstones cloudy and dull. The following common household products will slowly build-up on your jewellery:
The most vulnerable items include link bracelets (any bracelet that has natural movement), chains, and watch straps. If you practice proper jewellery cleaning methods at home at least once a month (preferably once a week), and have a professional cleaning and inspection performed every three to four months (we provide this service free of charge), your jewellery will last through generations.
CHLORINE CORROSION CRACKING
We strongly recommend removing all jewellery before coming in contact with chlorine (pools and hot tubs), and any bleach products (household cleaners and hair dyes). The chlorine will attack the alloys in your jewellery, which can cause cracks and pitting.
